More information about ACDU, where our Phase I clinical trials are conducted
All medicines have to pass a number of rigorous tests to ensure they are both safe and well tolerated. Roche ACDU (Applied Clinical Development Unit) conducts early stage clinical trials, known as Phase I trials.
The ACDU consists of an experienced medical and nursing team and has its own quality management team to ensure that the standards within the unit meet those agreed by the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) and internationally agreed industry standards for conducting clinical trials (ICH GCP). All proposed trials are reviewed by an independent Ethics Committee. Our principal concern is always the safety of our volunteers.
