We support the aims of government in enabling more services to be delivered in the community setting, such as GP surgeries; improved patient choice; and supporting early disease intervention to prevent long term suffering. In particular, many of our innovative oral treatments themselves enable the shift from hospital to community based care in some cases by replacing intravenous drug treatments, where there is equivalent efficacy, whilst at the same time alleviating capacity pressures in hospitals and freeing up the time of nurses and pharmacists.
