Roche employees in the UK are committed to improving the lives of those less fortunate and many take part in the annual Aids walk, funds raised from which go to HIV/AIDS projects in Malawi.
The most recent event, in November 2006, saw more than 100 intrepid walkers trek five kilometres from Hexagon Place, whose efforts raised more than £3,300. The funds, matched by Roche, went to our partnership with the European Coalition of Positive People (ECPP), which builds orphan centres in Malawi and Mozambique.
The top fundraisers from each affiliate involved in the event are entered into a draw to win a trip to Malawi and this year’s winner, the first to represent Welwyn Garden City, is a product planning analyst from Customer Services.
